Maja Kocijancic, spokeswoman for EU High Representative Federica Moghrini, told Kalxo. com that work on drafting the Statut is still continuing.
“Once the Management Team officially informs us of the state of their work, this issue will be sent to the next summit in Brussels. We understand that work is continuing. Meanwhile, the EU is constantly working with the two sides to ensure implementation of this agreement and those that have been reached within the EU facilitated dialogue”, spokeswoman Kocijancic said.
Media during the week have reported that the two presidents -- Hashim Thaci and Aleksandar Vuciq -- will meet in early September in Brussels to continue what they are calling the final “” of dialogue.
In recent weeks both Thaci and Vuciq have been frequenting statements in favour of a solution that affects the current borders of the two countries, with the possibility of a “correction of their”.
Asked whether the EU would allow the two presidents to open such a topic under dialogue, Kocijancic replied: “as far as the next summit is concerned, I expect it to be held in early September, but the date is not yet set. The agenda, format and pace of dialogue are decided on both sides”.
“I regret to announce that Drift-Sttutation of the majority Serb municipalities in Kosovo, which you requested, is a document which at this time is being drafted by Kosovo's (Manage management team) and thus E. The EAS does not own”, says the EU Office's response to access to public documents.
