Erdogan was at a rally in the town of Ordu, where he gave a speech to his citizens where tensions in relations with the United States were highlighted in the Turkish president's speech.
The “threaten us, but you can't talk to us about the threatening language. We understand the legal language. We will do whatever law and justice require. We will not hand over anyone, let it remain to you, we are sufficient for those we have”, Erdoğan said, adding:“We got up yesterday, we're getting up tomorrow. Just let my people stand”, reports the Turkish Anadolu news agency.
Erdogan advised the Americans that it is a pity that the United States is able to change NATO's partner for a priest, thinking of American priest Andrew Brunson, whom Turkish police arrested on charges of providing support to terrorist organisations.
Charges against Brunson include spying on terrorist organisation The PKK, listed as a terrorist group by the US and Turkey, and the terrorist organisation FETO, the group following the coup attempt in Turkey in July 2016.
