Turkish President Recep Tayip Erdogan declared his country today to be” boxing” American electronic devices, while relations between Ankara and Washington are very tense in recent weeks.

During a speech in Ankara, President Erdogan said a boycott against American electronic products would be implemented.

Today Turkey has one of the most solid banking systems in the world in all respects. Turkey will boycott American electronic products”- he said.

Foreign media reported that Erdogan has stressed that Turkey will boycott US electronic products, which has imposed sanctions and increased tariffs against Ankara in a dispute over the ban on an American gospel pastor. <

The Turkish president said he was taking the necessary measures regarding the economy, following the latest situation taking place with the local currency, worsened following the dispute with Washington, but it was important to take a strong political stance. “The transition in foreign currency would mean giving the enemy”, Erdoğan added.

We will boycott US electronic products,” he said. If they have iPhones, the other side has Samsung. At home there are Venus, Vestel [Turkish smartphone brands]. ”

In a challenging speech, Erdogan warned the White House that those who fought “economic warfare” against Turkey would pay a price. ( TemA)
