Men are denied the right to participate in the process of birth at QKUK

Recently, many fathers participate in the birth of their children, but to realize this right to them, they have to go to private hospitals because it is still not allowed at Pristina public hospital (QKUK). This is not a tradition that has been practiced much either in [...]
This is not a tradition that has been practiced much neither in the past nor today, but that men are now beginning to become aware of the importance of their presence during the baby's birth, but even in cases where they and their partners are willing to get together in this process, that is not given.
For pregnant Marigona Misini, the presence of her husband in her maternity process is extremely necessary, for as she says, it would thus be much easier both during and after birth.
She expressed indignation at the fact that such a thing is not allowed in the public hospital.
“Normal is much better to be the man next to us, to experience the same feeling as I am, but here in Kosovo that rule has not yet come. Only in private, in the land of hell... but fate, what I did to”, she said.
KKUK's Deputy Director of Gynecology, Fehmi Zeqiri, left the blame for all this to lack infrastructure.
He in a proposal for Kosova Prees has said there are a host of conditions that must be met before that happens.
There are no conditions because special rooms must be provided to introduce a mate, to have adequate services. We have 10 rooms where women are born and noise and noise are heard, so there are currently no conditions”, he said.
And she's the leader of the U program. The NFPA in Kosovo, Visare Mujko Nimani, who announced about KosovaPress, that they are working to realise the right of husbands to participate in the birth process.
As this lasts a long time, she says that they are the family itself, and couples are the ones who have to pressure the institutions and the maternity wards to allow them to do so.
Our <x0) realisation is done through avocation that families and couples themselves put pressure on institutions and maternity wards to participate in their child's birth process. Even in scientific terms it has proved that the participation of men, or even the partner in the birth process has resulted in better results, whether it is by reducing the number of complications during birth, bloodshed and the best results in general the welfare of the woman and child. So it is an issue that should be involved through pressure in local institutions”, she said.
Since previously there were restrictive circumstances because of physical infrastructure that made it impossible, Naman says that building Pristina's new hospital is an ideal option that even this important issue be planned on time.
“I think that with the construction of the new hospital in Pristina, it is the unique opportunity to start planning spaces literally for men to participate in the east and that this should be part of the plan with the time of”, she stressed.
While, Kadri Gashi, co-ordinator of the Young Men's Initiative in Kosovo, which aims to promote positive strategy, says both partners' participation in the birth process positively affects them and the child.
As a good connoisseur of this issue, Gashi says the most problem lies in the lack of law enforcement and not co-ordination between central and local institutions, namely between Kosovo hospitals.
One of the other problems is that men are not prepared to be prepared during the birth process because they have no information, or have not faced these cases, and according to health care providers, it is considered that men are lacking information and do not have the thrill of coping with these cases... I think the main problem is that we don't respect the law. The law clearly shows that each person can be involved in the process of birth, and whether he is prepared or not, because the person's burden is not to take any role during the birth process, but only as a helper or a supporter of his partner. So I believe it's very simple, it's just a matter of sincerity and responsibility on the part of the health instructor, doctors who are involved in these”, he said.
Otherwise, in European countries men are allowed to participate during the birth process in order to facilitate the woman's birth process. While in our country many organisations are committed to including Kosovo men getting involved in the process.
