Daciq: Practical Proposals to Set Borders in September

Serbia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ivica Dacic, has said that defining the borders with Kosovo is just an idea and has warned that for concrete proposals and what compromise solution means, Koha.net will speak in September. “Since September it would have to talk about concrete things, [...]

The “since September would have to talk about concrete things, about who thinks about compromise. These ideas, which have been heard of, do not mean that” will be accepted, Serbian news agency beta quoted Daciqi as saying.

He has added that concrete talks are being mentioned for September because this month the UN and EU General Assembly gathering begins is pressing because of the mandate's expiration, as European elections are held.

The chief of Serbian diplomacy has said that so far Kosovo was talking about both issues resolved, but, according to him, now the US position has changed, and this step has been able to talk about how the interests of the two sides are respected.

He has deepened that Albanians are not realizing that the situation has changed because they think Serbia should only recognise Kosovo's independence.

“The compromise Albanians are thinking of taking Bujanoc's Presevo, I don't know what they think if we say they have to stay in Serbia” Dacic said, adding that all ideas should be discussed.

Asked what would happen to the southern Serbs if the demarcation of the borders took place, he has said that first it should be seen whether the defined acceptable borders are defined and then seen how those regions can join.
