During the January-March period, Parliament spent 33.636 euros on travel abroad, 990 euros on travel abroad, 48.387 euros on hire of official travel, 34.608 euros for accommodation during official trips, as well as another 3.822 euros on expenses, Koha Ditore writes today.
However, the expenses for official travel have suffered a 9.8 percent decline compared to the same period in the preceding year. This has happened because of the decision of the Parliament's Headship, under which MPs were asked not to leave the country for official travel before February 20th.
The request was made with the reason that there are hearings where bills and decisions that require the number of deputies for quorum should be adopted.
