“Kina has launched a complaint procedure in the World Trade Organisation for establishing customs duties on Chinese goods worth $16 billion,” said in the statement.
The US today presented new customs duties for certain Chinese goods, for which Beijing took reciprocal measures.
In mid - June, the United States posted a 25 - percent fee for goods from China that affected nearly a tenth of Chinese exports to the U.S. The new measures will affect the import of Chinese goods containing a relevant industry technology worth $50 billion.
China immediately announced it would impose a 25 per cent import obligation in 659 types of goods imported by the US.
