Bulgaria's bus accident, three ministers resign

Three Bulgarian ministers have resigned following the accident of a bus that caused the death of 17 people and injured several others. Prime Minister Boyko Borisov called on Friday for the resignation of his interior, transport and Regional Development ministers after the accident and later, ministers Valentin Radev, Ivaylo Moskovki and Nikolai Nankov agreed they would assume political responsibility and resign.
The resignations of three ministers from Borisov's centre-right GERB party require approval by Parliament to enter into force.
The accident occurred last Saturday, when a tourist bus crashed on the highway about 50 km north of Sofia, the country's capital.
Thirteen people died at the scene, including a 13-year-old boy and four others died in the hospital. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
