Nik Ducich is an American of Serbian origin who has since become commander of the US military base Bondsteel in Kosovo.
Ducich commenting on the possibility of forming the Kosovo Army, says this is not the subject of great importance.
He has stressed that constitutional changes are needed to form the Army.
“KFOR) carries out the mission very well, and I think there are more important problems than if the transformation of KSF will happen soon or not”, Ducich has said, broadcast the news.
He has said further in an answer to the Beta news agency that the only way to solve problems between Kosovo and Serbia is with dialogue.
Ducich estimated that KFOR's mission will not change.
“We are here to ensure freedom of movement, and are working under UN Resolution 1244”, he concluded.
Today Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj said the time is approaching for the transition of KSF and joining NATO.
