Albania, among countries with lower alcohol consumption

Albania and Macedonia are the countries with the lowest consumption of alcohol per capita. The lowest per capita consumption in the region is Macedonia, where according to the interactive map of the consumption portal per capita in Macedonia for the same age population group is 5.7 litres.
Low consumption of alcohol, referring to and processed data from data portals, is a feature of lower income countries.
The worldwide average consumption of alcohol in low-income countries according to World Bank data (2015 is the year in which there is valuable data for all global economies) is 4.2 liters, or about 2 liters less than in Albania.
Serbia has the highest alcohol consumption in the region, where according to data it is 12.9 litres, or twice its consumption in Albania.
Then it ranks Montenegro, where alcohol consumption per capita for the age age group, with 11.5 liters per capita, and Bosnia with 7.5 liters per capita (about 1 liters more than in Albania).
The average European Union for alcohol consumption is 10.6 litres, while high-income countries are 9.3 litres.
Who consumes the most in the world
The first country in terms of higher alcohol consumption in all economies that the World Bank has collected keeps Moldova. Annual consumption of alcohol in Moldova accounts for 174 liters.
The former Soviet Union countries are at the top of the ranking. Second place after Moldova ranks Belarus at 17,1 litres, then Lithuania with 16.2 litres, Russia with 14.5, Australia with 12.6, Ireland with 10.9 litres, United States with 9 litres.
Countries with lower consumption
Because of their culture, countries in the Middle East and parts of North Africa have a very low consumption of alcohol under a liter of life. Libya is the only country where alcohol consumption per capita is 0 litres.
Almost insignificant is consumption in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Yemen or Pakistan.
