Ahmeti, on Facebook, wrote that if it turns out that Blakaj has resigned following threats of an indictment against KLA commanders for manipulation with veterans' lists, then, according to him, this is a test for Kosovo society.
His full response:
The prosecutor investigating veterans' lists, Elez Blakaj, has resigned. It is now coming to the news that the same prosecutor has handed the indictment to the special prosecution against the high profile of former UCK commanders for list manipulation. The Special Prosecutor has not yet prosecuted the indictment at the Court.
If that's true, then this is a test for our society and our justice system. It is almost public secrecy that the number of veterans does not match the real number of UCK soldiers. This manipulation does not honor the Army, it does no honor to the commanders, but rather is disrespect to the martyrs of war.
Once again, if that is true, we must all give the support of the ransom to the prosecutor in question to investigate and whiteen the case to the end. We owe this to real fighters.
