“Dje Kuwait confirmed the date for the referendum, which is key to our future. All of us have been given the opportunity to decide something big. We have proved ourselves to be a people who learn from history. Your vote is your right, don't let anyone take it away and misuse it. I invite you to show that no one can tell you what to do. I'll respect your vote, anyway. I believe in the citizens' decision, and I am convinced that Macedonia will become a member of NATO and the EU, while the Macedonian people will remain Macedonian and will speak Macedonian”, Zaev said.
He invited the Macedonian opposition party to support the referendum and invite citizens to participate in the referendum during today's press conference.
The “Oposor wants to destroy our future, they say they can reach better agreements, but for that they had 11 years. They negotiated secretly and kept the state captive. It's time for key and historical decisions, not for escape. I tell the VMRO-DPMNE members again, the door is open to you too. I invite you all to vote proudly and say “po” for stability and membership in NATO and the EU”, he said.
