On February 17th of this year, I was on the visit of Baca Adam to congratulate the 10th anniversary of independence. Though sick, at no time did he show signs of weakness. Strong and willing as ever. We had let him see us again, but this time in the Kosovo Assembly. Fate didn't want him to come. But, Adam Demach will live with us until there is even this people, for whose freedom he carried on the greatest suffering and effort”, Vessel has said.
Wessel has said that not only Kosovo, but the entire Albanian nation is shocked today by the loss of one of the most prominent children.
With his extraordinary courage, sacrifice and homeland, he became a symbol of resistance and efforts by Albanians for freedom and equality in his own lands. His work served as the source of inspiration not only for our armed struggle but also for building the new state of Kosovo, based on sound foundations, values of freedom and democracy. Farewell Adem Demac, the Kosovo hero, our inspiration and pride. Consolation, Kosovo”, has written Wessel.
