In this regard the chief chief of the Regional Water Company “Pristina”, Ilir Abdullahu said water losses have increased due to the 24-hour water supply for all consumers.
In order to avoid water loss, he said they have drafted a strategy as well.

Meanwhile, Abdullah has further clarified that water loss is also taking place because of consumer water abuses, multiple dunges, and commercial losses.
LDK commission member Avdullah Hoti has asked how in much of Pristina pipes have been replaced, while net water loss has increased from 53 per cent to 57 per cent.
According to him, Kosovo citizens are paying double the water they do not use.

Commission Chairman Driton Selmanaj has also requested clarification from representatives of the water pipeline “Pristina” and for nine managers who have been working without a job contract, where in his response the chief head of the KRU “Pristina”, Ilir Abdullahu indicated that because of their performance he by one decision continued his work contract, but that his decision has not gone into administration. He then added that next week they will resold free seats for manager at the company.
MPs during the gathering have also shown concerns about the lack of water supply for Fushe-Kosovo consumers, while the head of the KRU “Pristina” has assured them that within this year the citizens of this town will have a 24-hour water supply. He announced that two miles [2.2 km] of pipelines have been completed to resolve the problem.
Ali Lajci from the Vetevendosje Movement said the report has identified inconsistencies and avoidances in personnel management and framework access. He has also said that KRU “Pristina”, just as many other companies are influenced by political parties.
Otherwise, the Public Finance Supervisor Commission on Tuesday will invite representatives of the Prizren Regional Waters report.
