Visa liberalisation in the hands of Parliament and EU Council

The Commission also took the last step that belongs to the decision-making process and confirmed that Kosovo has met all required criteria and that everything is now in the hands of the European Parliament and member states in the EU Council.
The Commission through the report confirmed on Wednesday that Kosovo has fulfilled the remaining two conditions -- the ratification of the border demarcation agreement with Montenegro and the deployment of a registry of evidence in the fight against organised crime and corruption. Also through this report, the Commission has confirmed that Kosovo continues to meet the conditions it had met since May 2016, when the Commission had also made conditional recommendation.
The Commission has thus accomplished its part of the job, and now, as far as it is concerned, there are no more technical obstacles in this process.
