All the victims are reportedly part of the guards.
During the attack, several attackers described as <x0hands and terrorists” were killed, and several others were injured. An explosion during the attack on an ammunition depot caused major damage, Radio Free Europe reports.
This is the largest mass attack on Iranian troops killed in recent years, in the area where fighting between Iranian and Kurdish forces, as well as the Islamic State militants, is common.
