The ministry announced that the union is guilty of organising strikes at the end of 2017, while the employers' organisation and employees' union came together to negotiate in the context of a mandatory reconciliation. The law provides for suspension of mobilization, writes ATSH.
The Ministry's statement disclosed a 430 pesos fine for each of the 182 797 union members, or a fine of 810 million pesos, equal to 29m dollars.
The mass-affected and truck union denounced the move as political persecution.
