Turkey and the Netherlands have agreed to normalise relations, the Turkish Foreign Ministry has announced today.
The decision on normalising relations between these two states has come after a telephone conversation between Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu and his Dutch counterpart, Stephen Block.
“During this phone conversation, the mines have agreed to normalise diplomatic relations between the Netherlands and Turkey. The ministers have agreed to restore their ambassadors to Ankara and The Hague”, the report said.
Relations between Turkey and the Netherlands had deteriorated, as the Netherlands had banned Turkish officials from organising gatherings with the Turkish diaspora over the referendum on constitutional changes in Turkey in 2017.
