Tsipras refuses defence minister's resignation, this is the official version of fire

It seems that the Greek government, found even under the heart of an increase in the population in the Aztec area, where the tragedy of fires occurred, is accelerating the investigation of causes. During a press conference, Greek government spokesman Dimitris Tzanakopoulos has declared that Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras has ordered that the causes of deadly fires be fully investigated, [...]

The prime minister ordered that the file of the case be sent to judicial authorities, as well as to hold this press conference so that we can present to the Greek people all the evidence that the government has available”, said Dimitris Tzanakopoulos, the government spokesman.

In turn, Citizen Protection Minister Nikos Toskas, explaining videos and data from several domestic and American satellite services, has stressed that there are serious evidence for organised arson.

“As far as investigations are being made by the Fire Department investigation group in co-operation with the Greek Police, I would like to show by the side of some of the images presented that we have serious data and significant traces for criminal activities involving the” fire, Nikos Toskas Minister of Citizen Protection said.

In the interview it has been pointed out that deliberate and well-planned arson, as well as extreme weather conditions, has been the main cause of tragedy.

Asked why there is no admission of responsibility or resignation of the Citizen's Defence Minister has said he has since resigned to the prime minister, but has declined.

While it has also stressed that firefighters, Greek police and navy have done their best to save as many lives as possible, statements that have generally been criticised by opposition media.
