Today, the head of the Agency for Environmental Protection in the United States, Scott Pruitt, has resigned.
President Donald Trump commented on Thursday that he accepted Pruitt's resignation, but did not mention numerous scandals and alleged ethics violations in which the head of the agency has been involved.
The exact reason for Mr. Pruitt's resignation was not announced.
His deputy, Andrew Wheeler, will now run the agency as chief.
