Thaci made these comments today as he was relating what he discussed at the meeting he had with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev during his visit to Turkey.
Viewing it as a brief meeting, the country's leader said that with the Russian prime minister they discussed initial steps for communication between the Kosovo state and Russian.
Thaci said they jointly reached a conclusion that reaching an agreement between Kosovo and Serbia would lead to Russia's change of attitude towards Kosovo, kp broadcasts.
“We have discussed the possibility of starting initial communication steps between the state of Kosovo and Russia. We have also discussed the process of Kosovo negotiations, Serbia and the opportunities for Russia to be more closely informed and it is a common conclusion that reaching the Kosovo and Serbia agreement will open a safe perspective for Russia to change its stance in relation to the state of Kosovo”, Thaci said.
