Publicist and writer Veton Surroi has written a new text at the Time portal, where he spoke of Hashim Thaci and the final phase of dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, writes Periscope.
Thaci days ago, at a media conference, stated that if Kosovo did not make the final agreement with Serbia, it could have the fate of Palestine or Northern Cyprus. But, Surroi thinks that such a thing does not stand in view that Kosovo is recognised by over a hundred states, and that this country has signed the Ramboullet Agreement. He believes Thaci's statement presents simply the president's personal fears.
“No, Kosovo does not risk becoming Palestine or Cyprus. No, Kosovo does not need to participate in a negotiation process without building the political consensus, in defence of its state interest. And although it should not delay this construction of a joint political action, there are no deadlines for either month and year, nor for any month or next year; the agreement with Serbia depends on its quality, not on the speed to reach.” he writes.
Veton Surroi has accused Hashim Thaci of engaging in all three harmful contracts [Bechtel Enka, PTK and “Z Mobile”, of which the country risks losing 170m euros.
