The man who sold drugs to French KFOR soldiers is sentenced

In the Mitrovica Court following the initial review, the trial in the case of narcotics indictee has been completed in all. The accused Burim Kadriu on Tuesday has been sentenced to 2 years on bail, if no other criminal act has been committed for three years, as well as penalty penalty worth 500 euros.
According to the indictment filed in 2009 by the then-Red District Prosecution in Mitrovica, Burim Kadriu and Gzim Hasani are charged that from the indefinite date of January 2009 until the end of March the same year as they were arrested, in groups without authorization have bought, possessed, distributed and sold substances and narcotic substances of weed and marijuana.

The indictment says that in March 2009, accused Kadriu of the other accused, Gezim Hasani, had received 10 marijuana packages in order to sell his French KFOR members at the price of 5 euros for a package. After the raid of accused Burim Kadriu, about 30.75 grams of marijuana had been found on the same site, while at the home of accused Guzim Hasani during the raid, seven packages from dust-shaped weed about 33.63 grams, which had been confiscated. Presequently, while holding the initial review hearing in this court has been made to isolate the procedure concerning accused Guzim Hasani.

Hasan was not present at the session, while from the police report it was proven to be in Germany. While defendant Burim Kadriu's defender, lawyer Zecir Maxun proposed to the court that procedures against accused Guzim Hasani be singled out for the sake of efficiency. As prosecutor Ismet Ujkan asked Mr. Maximi's proposal to be rejected after, according to him, all evidence indicates that the work was performed by both, and the defendants had acted together, so he proposed to the court that the joint procedure be held.

Justice Becir Halili subsequently approved the lawyer's proposal Zecir Maxhuni and singled out the procedure in this criminal case against the accused Hasani. Returning to the session following his plea or innocence, defendant Kadriu was declared guilty of the crime he was charged with, thus acknowledging guilt.

After acknowledging the defendant's guilt, the court has announced the verdict concerning the defendant. On the occasion of declaring the case to judge Bekir Halili, Kadri was sentenced to two years in prison terms on condition that during the duration of three years no other criminal acts were committed. Kadriu has also been sentenced to fines worth 500 euros, the same time spent in detention is estimated. /rtv21
