Sadiku: Trepca Board is political, has no knowledge of mines

The chairman of the Trepca Workers' Union, Fatmir Sadiku, on the interactive “ ” KTV's union, has said that the Trepca miners' strike will continue until their demands are met, until the board of this company has called it a political board and knows nothing of the mines. Trepca miners have entered [...]
Trepca miners have entered the general strike today as a sign of dissatisfaction with the draft status quo, as well as the indifference of the country's responsible institutions with their remarks and demands about this draft status.
“Draftatus has gone to the parliamentary commission. In the drafts, no resources have been introduced around the mine at all, mines have not been investigated -- this has been the main concern -- areas around Trepca are not included at all in that statute”, Sadiku has said, adding that members of the Trepca Board have agreed with the drafttave, according to him, harmful to the mines.
The “those on board are political parties. There are five members of the politically appointed board. Board members have agreed to this draft and I have not agreed. We have had meetings with parliamentary groups and have announced the damage, we have found a kind of compromise, and at the moment the draft board is on parliamentary commission”, he stressed.
Sadiku has called on the government to reflect and have talks with union representatives who have predicted there will be losses if it continues with the strike.
There's a loss because production is now out of two days. We wanted to sit down and solve this problem. It's dangerous that there's damage and every break of work threatens us, and we're at risk of the political board, it's a board that doesn't know about Trepca's development. We are for dialogue and problems solved with dialogue, but we were forced to go on strike even though they do damage”, Sadiku said in addition.
