China follows it with 14 trillion dollars, an increase of over $2 trillion compared with 2017. Japan is third with an economy of $5.1 trillion, out of $4.87 trillion a year ago.
However, as things are going, according to “World Economic Forum”, the dominance of the American economy would suffer decline. And what China can take is China. According to World Bank data, the global economy will expand by $6.5 trillion between 2017 and 2019. U.S. GDP is expected to represent 17.9 % of this growth. China, however, is projected to reach almost double that, 35.2 % respectively.
