It is not yet known whether the relatives of the martyrs will be freed from customs duties

Many citizens of the Republic of Kosovo are continuing to import their personal cars from European Union countries. Their main challenge, however, remains the high excise where, in many cases, the cost of a purchased car is to be paid, which is a legal obligation issued [...]
Although much has been said that the category of families of martyrs will be released from customs fees, this is still not being realised by the legislature's executive and deputies.
So far the categories released from this obligation are people with special needs, war disabilities, and some others.
On this matter, the head of the Association of Family Witnesses, Xhavit Jashari, in a proposal for Indexline, has shown how far this important process has gone.
According to Jashar, the requirement for implementing the Law has been made but, as he says, is not being approved by the government of the country.
Furthermore, he has added that the executive has given the reason that the Law in question is not being approved because of budgetary implications.
The request has been made, by law, to lay forth these conditions, in the competence of the Government and MPs of the Republic of Kosovo. Once this part of the law is not being implemented, but it is still up to the Government to believe that the Government must implement the entire law as approved in the parliament of the Republic of Kosovo that in the release of these customs issues is presented to the Law on War Values in that L/54, which is for the families of martyrs, the disabled of war and other categories. But because of the reasoning that budgetary implications are not being implemented, our demand is to implement”, Jashari said of Indexline.
He adds that the matter will be considered in the days ahead with Government. But according to him, if something concrete is not established, then Jashar says that reactions will not stop until their rights are realized in accordance with the Law on this category.
Meanwhile, Indexline has also contacted Customs spokesman the Adriatic Stavileci, who has briefly confirmed that the families of the martyrs are not free of customs duties, according to him, similar to this are the disabled, who are freed.
Otherwise, vehicle releases are legally defined. Conditions for full release from import duties, transport vehicles are envisioned from Article 331 to 338.
