The hearing, if signatures are collected, is expected to be held on 16 July, since the next meeting of Hashim Thaci and Aleksandar Vucinqi will take place on 18 July.
Ymer has said that in this extraordinary session decision-making will be required to return to the Parliament as the highest legislative body.
This is the full announcement of Ymer on Facebook:
With the Social Democrat Party Parliamentary Group's proposal today, we have started collecting signatures for holding an extraordinary session on July 16th 2018 from 11:00 about the final phase of dialogue between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Serbia.
Last month in Brussels, without getting the consent of the Parliament, and without the state platform approved by Parliament, the summit has been held between Kosovo Republic President Hashim Thaci and Serbia's President Aleksandar Vuciq. Meanwhile, the European Union's Office of High Representative has become known that the next meeting between the two presidents will be held on July 18th 2018 in Brussels.
Given the political impact this dialogue has and the eventual agreement coming out of it will have in the process of statehood, development, democracy in the Republic of Kosovo, through this extraordinary session signatories will require that discussion and decision-making be returned to the Parliament, the highest legislative body.
