At the meeting with the eurodeputet from Germany and the foreign affairs co-ordinator Knut Flickenstein, Romania's Eurodepute and EP deputy chairman Victor Boıtinaru and Slovenia's Eurodeputen, Tanja Fajon, the EP's one-time visa liberalisation report, PSD representatives announced political developments and the current situation in Kosovo, stressing the fragility of the current government.
The Eurodeputs were announced further for the ideological and programative orientation of the PSD, which engages in justice, equality, sustainable development and a Republic of Citizens, in which ethnic divisions will be exceeded.
With particular emphasis on this meeting, dialogue with Serbia and the need for parliamentary supervision of this process, which has entered the final phase, with which serious risks to Kosovo's integrity and sovereignty were posed. While talking about visa liberalisation, the delegation from the PSD stressed the danger of fainting the pro-European sentiment in Kosovo if the EU does not bring concrete results in terms of promises made by the European Commission concerning this process.
European MPs express their welcome over the establishment of the PSD, stressing that the European Socialist Party (PSE) has been a time in search of a reliable partner in Kosovo, with which it can work in long term. They expressed their preservative support for PSD and requested PSD support to advance the European agenda in Kosovo.
In the end, the parties agreed on a structured dialogue between WHY and the PSD in September, focused on common priorities, as well as the expectations and goals of the two sides regarding long-term co-operation between them.
