Interior Minister Bejtush Gashi hosted representatives of the Kosovo Firefighter Union at the meeting, where it was discussed about the clear resolution of the firefighters' status.
In this case, the minister praised the firemen's right to protest peacefully in seeking their rights by democratic means, while announcing their recent commitments as regards resolving their status.
Minister Gashi stressed that he is making maximum efforts to find a solution this year as far as the status of firefighters is concerned.
He said they are already in the final phase of finding an optimum solution for firefighters, so that, in addition to the quality of the response these troops have, they can have their status acceptable.
Minister Gashi also praised the professionalism of firefighters in Kosovo, which despite the terms that firefighters operate, all the cases presented to these entities have been professionally answered.
