In an address to the media after the meeting, which lasted an hour longer than planned, Vuciq indicated that the topic of discussion of this meeting was Kosovo as well.
He said he received support from the French president for reaching an agreement with Pristina, which would be good for the region.
“We received support for reaching an agreement with Albanians in Kosovo, in favor of ensuring peace for the entire region”, Vuciq said.
Vuciq added that at this meeting, the Brussels dialogue between Pristina and Belgrade was also talked about bilateral Belgrade-Paris relations.
On the other hand, President Macron indicated he would stay for an official visit to Serbia in November this year.
He also recalled the history of both countries where he mentioned previous military alliances between Serbia and France.
“We have forgotten that once we were together, we released Serbia together, if you give me some documents today, then this would bring new obligations among us, today we are together again, on joint missions in the Mountain of Lebanon”, Macron expressed.
Vuciq at this meeting congratulated Macroni on France's victory at the World Football Championship, and the President of France returned the famine, praising him for Djokovic's victory in the Wimbledon tennis tournament.
At this media conference, Vuciq also talked about the whitelight of the SDP leader's assassination in northern Mitrovica, Oliver Ivanovic, of whom he said Serbia has requested recordings from international satellites, but that the same have not been given.
He said there are advances in the investigation into his murder, though he said there are still no suspects.
It is noteworthy that today's Macron-Wucciq meeting lasted more than an hour, while it was projected to last only 25 minutes.
