The secretary general of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Ismet Beqiri, has reiterated the party's position where he participated, that under no circumstances would become part of this ruling coalition and dialogue, and has even firmly said that their immigration request has gone to the polls.
Beqiri has said that their position has come since they lost the election and the third party in Kosovo turns up. We've already said, the LDK never becomes part of the government, that's very clear.
This is the position built by the LDK immediately after last year's elections, where we emerged as the third party, so we lost the elections and normally decided to be in the opposition.
This attitude of ours remains as if the position of negotiations remains, we under no circumstances become part of that dialogue. Our position is this; we demand that you go to new national elections for institutions to have more legitimacy after these elections, there will be institutions that have the power to dialogue and make decisions. The LDK wants us to go to new elections, but before we go we've offered a chance, we started with some tables in order to list the list of important things, and we were willing to support them. But at the end of this list, it would be the date of the new elections.” has told Beqiri of “Gazeta Blic”. According to him, this governing coalition day is showing that they are unable to make simple decisions to issue very simple bills.
He has added that their firm stand to go to early elections has nothing to do with that they are willing to join power, but according to him, their main goal is to stop this form of government that is current.
