LDK agrees dialogue disputes except it is not in power

LDK MP Besa Gageri has declared that the party she belongs to will not be part of dialogue with Serbia from the opposition position, while stressing that the elections are the only solution to these problems for Kosovo.

We have to do the analysis in politics, we can declare ourselves against Thaci as a name, even though we have our reasons for this. To represent Thaci Kosovo in the dialogue, the Parliament needs to gather and give me the right by 2/3, and I don't see that happening. Unfortunately, the President has never played a unifying role. He needs to reflect himself and make a way out. We want to believe that it is the end of this long-standing dialogue, and conclude this meaningless dialogue launched arbitraryly precisely by Thaci, who was unprepared. We have slipped in political terms, and we have given Serbia space to open any subject. We shouldn't have difficulties in dialogue when it's known that we have to go according to what the JND” has determined, Gager said in an interactive KTV.

It has stressed that the only solution is to go to elections, and to gain legitimacy to lead the dialogue.

The prime minister is tasked with taking the job in hand, and the current prime minister is irresponsible and has not done his job. If it's the last phase, then you can't go without a platform off the Parliament. I believe we will try to issue a resolution that would probably corrorate representation, but I strongly doubt that this will happen in view of the way the prime minister and president are leading. Any resolution from the Parliament should be at 2/3, and I believe it will not happen to pass so that the president can lead the dialogue. There is no other option than national elections”, she said.

Gagerie adds that leaders also want this process re-entered in their personal favour, adds that he would like the European community to speed up this process and be more correct.

For liberalisation, they must really work to end this year. And we should not be hasty about the dialogue. The problem is that if someone is to save his skin, he can reach harmful deals. Whether or not the dialogue with Serbia ends is not the problem. It will never agree with Kosovo. The president's statements are very painful. I don't know how a politician dares say there will be difficult compromises. There is more compromise than Ahtisaari's package and there is a stronger statement than that of the JND”, Gager said in interactive.

It opposes exchange of territories, stresses that the Assembly should set red lines.

“We cannot play Serbia's game, this is unacceptable. It's unacceptable to talk about territorial division, we should have red lines hardened in the Assembly. Whoever goes into the dialogue has to go with this red line, and he can't pass it. Our delegations go without a letter in front of us, and then the convention in the back of the head for the irresponsability of individuals. It is not decent to go there as tribes, as we now have institutes and we have to legitimise certain groups on these issues”, the LDK MP has indicated.

Gageri has confirmed that the LDK has been declared against Lutfi Haziri's idea of joining Kosovo, of Serbia being granted the north of Kosovo. Any changes in the borders would result in war.

“The LDK does not support Haziri's idea, to give Kosovo Presheva, and Mitrovica to Serbia. This is his personal idea, and the LDK has distanced itself from this. Thaci has no right to do that. The LDK has been declared not to support that. We need to work to respect the rights of Albanians, just as we respect the rights of Serbs, and we need to have document on it. Change of borders causes wars in the Balkans and perhaps even wider. I'm sure even the new generations are willing to protect their country at all costs, says Gager.

Gager has asked the prime minister to leave the country and go to the elections.

“If we are persistent to seek the rights of Albanians in Serbia. The LDK will not become part of the dialogue without going to the polls. If the LDK wins then we represent the dialogue, and there will be all involvement. The prime minister must leave the street when he is not taken responsibility. We will not participate in the vote. If the Assembly doesn't work, we have to go to the elections. The LDK will not be part of this dialogue from the opposition's position, and without the LDK sʹka dialog”, it has been expressed.

According to her, she cannot continue in this form with irresponsible institutional leaders, without credibility, “that the three leaders are unconcrete. Much more when we talk about such an important process as dialogue with Serbia”.

“Thaci does not have the legitimacy to represent Kosovo in the dialogue. The Assembly has issued resolution on Government. The president has no legitimacy for this dialogue. Good luck is we have constitutional documents on how to function. We elect representatives and they should take responsibility when they go to the talks”, she has said.

She has added that opposition parties should be unified.

We hope that the PSD is opposition. I can beg the VV and PSD to work with the ruling deputies to file the motion. The LDK is willing to work in this direction.
