Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Izmi Zeka has said about RTV Dukagjin that according to current data Kosovo will not have large influxs of refugees.
“So far according to data Kosovo will not face refugee flows. We, like MPB, have made all preparations for the eventual cases”, Zeka has declared.
According to Deputy Prime Minister Zeka, the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MPB) is more prepared than countries in the region for this confrontation with immigrants.
“We have capacity to face, with refugees better than many Western Balkan countries”.
Security Professor Avni Islami sees no potential danger from refugees.
I don't think refugees risk Kosovo's national security, because here are NATO and foreign missions, which are cared for together with the security institutions that Kosovo has”, Islam has declared.
While Kosovo is open to refugees in the region, it has only taken measures to stop them. Montenegro days ago started building a thorn wire fence on the border with Albania.
The World Organisation for Migration estimates that in the last 10 years over 20,000 people have lost their lives trying to reach Europe.
