This is the number of Kosovars who have to change passports if visas are liberalised

Following the positive recommendation from the European Commission (KE), which praised through the report that Kosovo has met all the criteria needed for visa liberalisation from the EU, now the heads of institutions are continuing to express highly optimistic that the time when Kosovars will travel visa-free to the Schengen zone will be over the month [...]

However, even after finalising this major process by the European Parliament, citizens further have to conduct certain procedures in respective dictatorships.

In this regard, Kosovars to travel across Europe must have biometric passports. In our country, however, there are a large number of those who have only a simple passport, with the same cases being denied access to Western countries.

The MPB Information Office has shown statistics on how many citizens are equipped with passports (not biometrics).

“So far, the passport (no biometric) of the Republic of Kosovo total 465552.”, said the MPB response.

Otherwise, the rules Kosovo citizens expect after the removal of visas, based on that of Albania, which has been liberalised since 2010, is that citizens cannot go to all EU countries, so they are exempting the UK and Ireland.

It is worth stressing that the passport must be biometric and the maximum stay will be 90 days.

Meanwhile, according to the sensationalising campaign of the neighbouring state, it was said that if you want to be employed, you are required to provide long-term visas or residence permits.

We remember, that adults who issue biometric passports must pay 30 euros, 20 euros for children up to 18 years old, 15 euros for pensioners and 50 euros for citizens who want to be provided with emergency passports. /Indesksonline/
