Kitarovic: Waiting for Putin to visit Croatia

Croatia's president, Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic, has said they are expecting Russian President Vladimir Putin for a visit to Croatia.

“We are awaiting confirmation of a visit by Putin to Zagreb”, Kitarovic has told the Russian daily Commersant.

The “would be the first official visit of a Russian president to Croatia, and I think now is the right time for this”, she said, writes Periscope.

Kitarovic has even said the Russian president himself has told him he will find a proper date to visit Croatia.

According to the Croatian president, her decision, although a member of NATO and the EU, Croatia respects international law, the Minsk Agreement, but at the same time believes dialogue with Russia is necessary. /Periscopi/
