Haziri shows LDK formula for dialogue

LDK Deputy Chairman Lutfi Haziri, who was pro-entering his party in an Ekip Negociator, says his party has a clear stance on this subject. He has stressed that the LDK is currently not in negotiations. According to him, the LDK formula is to have legitimacy before negotiations. Haziri [...]
According to him, the LDK formula is to have legitimacy before negotiations. Haziri has also spoken of President Thaci's statement, which had said he would consider Haziri's idea of exchanging territories with Serbia.
The fact that President Thaci, my idea in 2011, has called it a dangerous position is very important. I've seen President Thaci convey and understand my statement and it's his question of how he appreciates it. But, the LDK is not part of the dialogue with Serbia, and in this case neither am I. Our opposition stance is clear. We continue to exercise our duties in the Parliament and in terms of dialogue, we have the formula: legitimacy before dialogue”, Haziri declared for Blic newspaper. The LDK deputy chairman has denied that his idea concerns the exchange of territories and division of Kosovo. “in 2011 I have given my proposal, but which has nothing to do with the exchange of territories and the fragmentation of Kosovo. It has to do with realising the rights of East Kosovo Albanians”, he said.
The former Yugoslavia should be said to have been disorganized unjustly in 1956, causing demographic change at the time. With this act, the percentage of Albanians in Kosovo has been lowered, increasing the percentage of Serbs with the introduction of several villages of Leposaviqi and Zubin Potok in then-Kosovo within Kosovo”, Haziri has indicated. Haziri has once again explained his idea of the territory issue in the Presevo Valley. Insisting that his idea does not involve exchange of territories. “I am re-increasing that idea, I have followed with sponsoring a Resolution in the 2013 Republic Assembly for the political and civilian rights of Albanians in eastern Kosovo, which is adopted by consensus. But there is no great progress to this day. We must work hard to advance the rights of the Albanians of eastern Kosovo, Presevo, respecting the right to referendum and harmonising with the international community. But Kosovo must be preserved in its entire body”, he said.
Republika President Hashim Thaci has for the first time publicly acknowledged the possibility of sharing territories with Serbia. Commenting on Lutfi Haziri's request to exchange the Presevo Valley with the North, the president has promised to deal seriously with the idea. And actually, for something like this, people of the academic world have been talking about. Even Kosovo academics. Political leaders in Kosovo, Presevo Valley. I listen attentively to every statement by political leaders. I appreciate Mr. Haziri. I have to listen carefully as it's clearly highlighted and build my opinion”, Thaci said. Thaci as prime minister was in November 2011, had reacted badly to Lutfi Haziri when he initiated the idea of exchanging territories. At the time, Thaci had overlooked the budget theme to speak against Haziri's idea. He had said it was a dangerous and contrary to the Constitution of the Republic and without international support. “This is more than the budget, the division of Kosovo territory and any such idea is very dangerous, the Government of Kosovo will continue to respect in full the Constitution and the laws of Kosovo for the full respect of territorial integrity and no corner to give Serbia”, Thaci said at the end of 2011.
On the other hand, Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has named him funny Haziri days ago and has rejected his proposal for exchange of territories with Serbia. According to Haradinaj, Lutfi Haziri often for exchange of territories between Kosovo and Serbia. And the reason Haziri does that, according to Haradinaj, concerns electoral issues. “Luta is a joker to get the votes of Anamorawa Preservs. He keeps this topic alive only for electoral purposes”, Haradinaj has declared.
Days earlier LDK MP Besa Gager has said the LDK has distanced itself from the deputy chairman's idea, Lutfi Haziri, saying this is his personal idea. “The LDK has distanced itself from this idea and here is Kosovo's disaster when Mr Thaci thinks as an individual he can do whatever he wants. And his actions, which have already caught his own trap that, for your personal interests, he's up to you, he uses statements of individuals to hide behind them. Kosovo is not the property of any individual whoever it is”, it has declared. Kosovo is the Parliamentary Republic, any important decision for the country should be decided by the parliament of the Republic of Kosovo”, Gager said. We remember that the Democratic League of Kosovo is sharply rejecting Hashim Thaci's role in negotiations with Serbia. “”“Dialog must be guided by Parliament and Government. The president has constitutional competencies to lead this process. It's not his constitutional competence. Had it been his constitutional right, he would have carried out the dialogue” has said LDK Parliamentary Group Chief Avdullah Hoti. Hoti further added that for talks “a platform is needed that gets 2/3 of MPs establishing principles and then the prime minister heads the” process. He has said the red lines of this process are the protection of territorial integrity and unitary character of the state. /Gazzeta Blic/
