Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has once again made clear that he does not divide Kosovo.
He has refused to talk about the latest ideas for possible partition of Kosovo's territory. Asked by reporters Haradinaj said:” Which Kosovo, Kosovo, is even small, sʹka divide”. These comments Haradinaj made at the opening of the local products fair in Ferizaj, attended by Albanian companies from Kosovo, Albania and Macedonia.
By contrast, Prime Minister Haradinaj's adviser today has told REL) that the Kosovo government does not accept the idea of partitioning and exchanging territories.
“The division of Kosovo territory, the exchange of territory or any option aimed at changing borders is not the option at all for the Government of Kosovo, it is a thick red and impassable line for us”, Prime Minister Haradinaj's adviser to Radio Europe Arifi, told Radio Free Europe.
“means, this is a line that is impossible for us”, he stressed.
“Those who attempt, think that by changing borders, (with) exchange of territories, bringing such topics to the table in this form, those people really intend to turn the Balkans into the dark period”, Arifi said.
According to him, the Government of Kosovo will by no means enter a process of rediagnosing borders in the Balkans.
Arifi's comments follow statements by Serbia's president, Aleksandar Vuciq, under which, for Serbia, it would be “better than nothing”.
The partition of Kosovo is mentioned on several occasions publicly also by Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic.
