The deputy chairman of Mitrovica's South Komun, Faruk Mujka, has said the wall, which is being built in the part of the northern Mitrovica municipality, aims at partitioning Mitrovica and explains it has nothing to do with the project to revis the Ibri Bridge. In a proposal for Periscope, Mujka says this wall being built today had been warned early, but the blame for the start of the construction, according to him is Albanian Asamists of the Mitrovica Northern Community who voted éproé.
The <x0Mu being built is not part of the Ibër Bridge revulsion project, but it's part of the northern walk project. It's a project shared by the revitive of the bridge. This is part of the project that was presented for the walker, and they said it wouldn't be a classic wall, but a part where flowers will be placed, but unfortunately, call it what you like, it's a wall, and they're aiming at a physical division between the two municipalities”, said the deputy head of the South Mitrovica municipality, Faruk Mujka.
Mujka has said the responsibility for this building wall is for the Government of Kosovo and the Ministry of Spatial Environment and Planning, as permission to build the northern Mitrovica municipality has taken it to those institutions.
“We can deal with the Comea, but they've got permission from the Ministry of Space Environment and Planning, and it's not in the jurisdiction of the South Town unfortunately. As soon as you cross the Ibër Bridge, it's in the competencies of the Northern Town, and therefore the Government and the relevant ministries” have expressed Mujka for Periscope.
He says the blame for starting the construction of this wall lies with the Albanian Asamps of the Northern Community.
I've been warning this wall a long time ago, but unfortunately the Albanian asganists in the Northern Community have voted it. But now the truth is coming out that a wall is building. I'm telling the truth I haven't seen, but I've seen some photos in the portal, and I hope that what's being planned won't come true, but I'm saying unfortunately it's done with the help of Albanian amblists in the Northern Town”, he said.
The deputy head of the southern Mitrovica municipality, Faruk Mujka, has said that through these constructions it is intended not to have any physical and symbolic connections between the two municipalities.
It's always being talked about that Mitrovica will always be a city, but these are trying to transform a reality where there will be two cities where there will be no symbolic or physical ties between the northern and the southern municipalities of”, the Mujika for Periscope has ended.
Unlike the day of Saturday, the Serbian company has continued building the wall, which will be around 37.5m long, while its height will vary from 40 to 70cm./Periscopi/
