Two weeks to complete the deadline set by the European Union (BE) for drafting the Serbian Major Commission Association statute (AKS).
Since four months earlier, the EU had demanded that the AKS statute be drafted by 4 August, but that this has not yet happened.
Government of Kosovo officials have confirmed this for the newspaper “Sound” that they have yet to accept the team's draft board on Association.
Even so, the leaders of this team have warned that the Association draft will take place under the Brussels Agreement, subsequently against the Constitution.
In spite of that, Kosovo President Hashim Thaci has indicated determined that the association will take place in full compliance with the Kosovo Constitution.
However, they also appreciate representatives of civil society who are convinced that the management team will not abide by the Constitution.
