Serbia's prime minister, Ana Brnabiq, told the Belgrade newspaper “V. Novosti” that there is no deadline for reaching a compromise agreement with Kosovo Albanians, nor for signing the legally binding agreement. She has also said that she does not know whether this is the final phase of negotiations between Belgrade and Pristina, but has added that “responsible policy work is to find compromises that all generations to come guarantee security and stability”.
“We no longer want war” is expressed.
After saying that dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina is under the auspices of the EU, while Serbia's strategic goal is EU membership, Brnabiq has added that “I see no reason why someone else should be involved in it”.
But if the US is involved, which Pristina is looking for, then there must still be great powers at the table that have not recognised Kosovo's independence and that advocate international law and justice, such as Russia or China”
Asked whether he could guess the situation in which people reject the legally binding agreement with Pristina, Brnabic said that could happen at any time, but he thinks people should take responsibility for their future and for the future of their children. /Koha.net/
