In three days, he would be 70 years old, but he has overlooked a serious illness. Luan Hajdaraga, a well-known personality on the Albanian political scene, passed away this Monday after several months of stroke.
The bitter news has been delivered by family members as they were sent to Turkey for more specialized treatment.
In March of this year, the former defence minister was at the Qafe Thana border crossing, where he had a crisis of ese. After some time at the Neurology Hospital, the Albanian government awarded a sum for its treatment in Turkey, where it passed away.
Hajdaraga has been a senior SP expert, deputy of this party, defence minister in 1998-2000, and then served as deputy foreign minister in 2003. / TCh/
