An Albanian witness has confessed moments of horror following the flames that included the Athens suburb last night.
Bledi Stathi, resident of Refina Athens, indicated that part of his house had been completely burned down. He described how he managed to escape in time with his family from the flames.
My wife called me because I was at work and told me that my house was burning in front. We took the boy and left because there was nothing we could get out of the house. Our house was burned, and many other houses -- Albanians and Greeks -- have now stabilised,” he told “News 24”.
