The man, who is imam in his village of Gua Mousong, in northern Malaysia, went to Golok, a town on the border between Malaysia and Thailand, to formalise marriage to minors, who is an acquaintance of one of his children and the daughter of one of his workers.
The newspaper writes that the future wife has given her approval and has claimed to be in love with the future man since she was nine years old. The parents have decided that the couple can live together only when the girl turns 16.
The newspaper also explains that the 41-year-old second woman is considering divorce after learning her husband's decision.
