The discovery means that Jupiter, the oldest and largest planet in the solar system, has more moons than any planet.
Scott Shepherd, of the Institute”Carnegie”, and his team discovered these moons more than a year ago, while searching for a potential massive planet beyond Pluton.
New moons discovered are considered normal, in diameter between one and three miles.
