Since the beginning of this year, no one has passed away as a result of waterpopping. Infective Clinic at QKUK has suggested that 99 cases have been handled, but all have proved to be in good health.
As a result of high temperatures and some system complications, the Information Office in this clinic through a written response has said 39 cases from January to the present.
We announce that from January to this day, we have had a number considered variable cases or (recognitions of water known to the people), registered in ambulance service. In all, there have been 99 cases with easy - to - reach clinical pictures and received the necessary therapy, counseling, suggestions, and advice on further treatment. Hospitalised have been 39 cases, with heavy clinical mirrors and high temperatures, as well as various system complications. All these cases have been treated and released from the health clinic and thus there has been no case of fatality”, says the response given to the Indexline.
While the largest number of cases have been submitted in February, where 10 people have stopped for treatment. Mostly, people who appear at the Water Lake Infectiva Clinic come from almost all areas of Kosovo.
The affected conditions are usually preschool children, but there are times when they are presented until 2-3 years of age.
The “Rasts which have been presented are mostly from Pristina and other municipalities, such as Drenas, Gjilan, F. Kosovo, Malisheva, Vushtrri, Mitrovica, Lipjan, Podujevo. Mostly cases were reported in February 10 cases, detained in medicine, while in January there were 3 cases, in March 2 cases -- May 3 cases -- in June there were 3 cases, etc. As far as age is concerned, it is primarily the age of preschool children, considered to be normal, since the disease is of early childhood age. But there are cases of three-year-old children, like six cases, hospitalized. But there are other ages, such as, two years old, where we've had five cases treated at clinic”, it says further in response to Indexline.
The information office at this clinic points out that no increase has been seen in the number over the next few years, since this disease is seasonal and epidemic-like in general.
