While Mnangagwa was leaving after giving a speech at the city stadium, a bomb explosion occurred near this location.
According to state television reports Vice President Kemo Mohamad has suffered leg injury after the explosion.
Mnangagwa came to power last November, replacing his mentor Robert Mugabe.
