Kosovo will soon have visa liberalisation, but the focus of the country's institutions should be on creating a better perspective for young people to keep them in the country.
So declared Prime Minister Kadri Wessel at a meeting with representatives of the American Corporation “Sutherland Global”, which will open 1,000 jobs in one year. This company, which deals with the processing of business services.
Chief Parliamentary Veselin said that in his first contact with this company, he has encouraged its leaders to come and invest in Kosovo. Today, Wessel said, it numbers 150 employees, and within the next two years, another 1,000.
Praising the work of this company and the promises to open new jobs, Wessel indicated that Kosovo has a talented youth, which is ready to carry out powerful world interior services. As you express your willingness to support young ones, you open up new prospects for them.
We expect to have visa liberalisation very soon. But what we mostly have to do is keep our youth living in Kosovo and create prospects. The new decade is the decade of information technology, is exactly what we're going to do. I encourage this company, as you know I have met other companies of the same kind, to come to Kosovo, to invest in Kosovo”, he said.
Deputy director of the company, Ks Kumar said all the services this company offers are offered to the largest companies in the world. He said he feels satisfied that for four months of its Kosovo operation, the company has managed to employ 150 young Kosovars and young people.
We are pleased that for four months as we operate in Kosovo, our company has managed to employ 150 young and young people who work for the Pristina-based company. Thanks for waiting for us. This is only the beginning and I believe that in time of 24 months we will be able to provide another thousand jobs in Kosovo”, Kumar said.
He voiced confidence that with the support of institutions, very good jobs and conditions will be created, causing Kosovo's youth not to leave the country.
Even the director of the American Economic Ode in Kosovo, Arrian Zeka, said the goal is shared, so that young people do not leave the country. While praising that such investors are most necessary.
The company has big plans to lie down in Kosovo, we have already seen this. But, of course, there is also a need for state support. The state must invest further in professional cadres, which is one of the main concerns of investors coming to Kosovo. OEK will be here to do the same. After all, I believe that the goal is shared, to keep the youth in Kosovo, to keep the professional cadres in Kosovo, and not to let go of what is called the intelligent part or the brain because it is a hole in all countries. Here I believe that we make a difference and that we are on the right track”, he said.
