The Vetevendosje movement handed over to the Constitutional Prosecution, criminal speculation for the decision, as they consider the Kosovo Government to be unfair and illegal for increased salaries of the government cabinet and the prime minister himself by 100%.

According to the VV, this brutal decision well shows the reduction of Haradinaj Government that as they made daily scandals also erode the country's poor budget to add government luxury to increasingly impoverished citizens.

Headship member and MP Albulen Haxhiu, speaking of this decision, also cited the continuing rejection of this decision by the Movement, which has handed it over to many respective institutions of the Republic of Kosovo.

“Since December of last year, when this scandalous decision has been made we have rejected and described as illegal because we consider it illegal that the Government through such a decision increases its salary. However, we have sent this decision to several institutions in the Republic of Kosovo as the Constitutional Court, which issued an unfair decision but also to the Anti-Corruption Agency, which has estimated that wage growth constituted conflict of interest”, Haxhiu said.

She also stressed that the Kosovo Government's decision, apart from the Criminal Code, violates a large number of laws such as the law on preventing conflict of interest, the law on public finance management and the Law on the budget of 2018.

For Vetevendosje Movement, this decision remains unacceptable to the fact that, except that it violates the law, the Government of Kosovo still has not taken a step towards developing the country, while the social situation is extremely serious.
