LVV Organising Secretary Vlora Hadzimemeddi and MP Lieburn Aliu have launched this week at a news conference today, pointing to activities that are scheduled to be held.
Mehmed has indicated that the activities will begin from tomorrow in Prizren and will be completed on Sunday of next week, June 17th, at the Germ Park.
By tomorrow, June 10th, the week of the movement begins with the signing of the 104th anniversary of the Prizren League. We've set it up on a subject every day of the week. Sunday's day of the League, even after 104 years, the Prizren League is alive and serves as an inspiration for all of us”, Hadhammeddi said, pointing to the agenda next day.
Monday, according to it, will be the membership day in which Arbnor Dehari, the former activist who committed suicide on the anniversary of the foundation of the Vetevendosje Movement, will be remembered. Tuesday will then continue with Vetevendosje Day, which marks 13 years of confrontation and organisation of the Movement.
Wednesday marks Wednesday, and those who, although living abroad, have contributed to advance the country's ideals. Thursday is the day of the municipality, marking the joint with the citizen, and Friday will mark the end of the month Ramadan and Bajram's holiday as the day of stability. Saturday will be days at the points of self-determination, and on Sunday the week ends with a socio-cultural activity in the Germ park.
VV MP Lieburn Aliu the other side spoke of the importance the Prizren League has for the Albanian people today. He has launched his speech, citing a piece of the letter to the leaders of the Prizren League a few days before the Berlin Congress.
“ ... just as we are not Turks we will also oppose anyone with our forces that will make us Slavs, Austrians or Greeks, we do not want to be other than Albanians. So Prizren's connection was founded on June 10, 1878, three days before the Berlin Congress began. Officially called the link to the protection of the rights of the Albanian nation, organised by leaders from majority Albanian countries and belonging to three religions, so the character of the League was completely national... due to the Istanbul Committee, the establishment of the link and then to its branches in many states. The tasks that the Albanians then placed on themselves are now valid as necessary features for the state, military defence organisation, the most dignified representation in foreign policy, and the maintenance of displaced populations such as the Prizren League is still valid. Unrecognizingly, we all remember with respect, Ymer Prizren, the leader of the Ilaz Debran connection, idealologist Abdel Frashar, and Commander Sylejman Vokshi. .. Another dimension of the Prizren League was fulfilled by the Jashar family and thousands of activists organized in the liberation war, but the League mission was not yet completed...”, Aliu said.
According to him, there is still no proper military organisation for self-defence, nor is there adequate diplomacy to ensure worthy representation outside Kosovo and Albania. And as long as these problems remain with him then the League remains alive.
