It is still unknown when the first special charges come

Kosovo institutions have no information on when special charges could be established. The justice ministry co-operates with this mechanism, aimed at investigating the alleged war crimes of former KLA soldiers. But the head of the MD says, Abelard Tahiri told the Online Economy they do not have frequent co-operation with the Special, who has not yet made the first charges public. Although he said the Court is founded by Kosovo institutions, Tahiri indicated that besides communication they do not have any frequent co-operation.
“We have been following a co-operation with them, it is not that we have frequent co-operation really because it is a Court that functions on the laws of Kosovo is founded by the Republic of Kosovo with the constitutional changes we have made to”, Tahiri has said.
“We have normal communication, but as far as the prosecutor's work is concerned, when acts will arise, how normally we will not be notified even in the Republic of Kosovo and normally we are not notified either by them, it is a matter of prosecution to those Specialised Chambers, and in no circumstances we have no information as to when it might happen, Tahiri said.
This court's work also relates to the largest mission of rule of European Union law, E ULEX, this mission has been behind a crucial role in the justice system since 2008. Even though the mandate would have to be completed in mid-June E ULEX will be here for at least two years.
The European Mission in Kosovo, the head of the MD, praised the positive. According to Tahiri, EULEX has greatly assisted in the area of rule of law, in building capacities and in creating new experiences of a new labour culture.
In spite of that, Tahiri acknowledged that EULEX has had its shortcomings, which, according to him, have come from the European Union's lack of experience on such missions.
“I highly appreciate the EULEX mission in the Republic of Kosovo, it is a mission that has been quite costly for European taxpayers. I think he has his own faults and concessions, because such an experience earlier in the EU did not without such missions and I think this would be a lesson for them as well for any mission in the future where he wants to need how to function”.
“... from now on we are willing to walk alone on our path that awaits us the strengthening of Kosovo towards our EU membership”.
After the end of EULEX's executive mandate, courts in Kosovo are “parised” from the lack of judges. But with that incompatible, Justice Minister Abelard Tahiri, this, according to you, will not leave emptiness in the justice system.
Tahiri said they have known he will complete the European mission, so they have also taken all necessary measures to complete the empty countries.
